Therapy isn’t an easy step to take but being able to find the right therapist will help to make the process smoother. I believe that in therapy, you are never alone. You have the autonomy and self determination to live the way you want but together we can collaborate to strive to create the life that you deserve. Whether it be managing stress at work, relationships at home, exploring romantic relationships or personal self-growth, we can work together to achieve the goals that you want to set for yourself. Despite therapy having a stigma of being emotional, it does not have to be something that is feared or dreaded. I often utilize empowerment to help you manage your emotions and conflicts because 1) taking the first steps to therapy is intimidating but you’ve already done it and 2) it will help you build the confidence necessary to effectively manage whatever is in your way. I prioritize exploring, building and expanding on the tools that can help you address challenges within your life so over time, you will be able to independently continue the progress that you have made. Together, we can make therapy life-changing and personal growth possible.

About Me

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Throughout my time in college, I was able to explore different avenues of the social work field through jobs, volunteer opportunities and internships. I’ve had experience with Assertive Community Treatment within communities with serious mental illness and occurring addictions, being a Direct Support Professional for the DD/ID populations, being a crisis counselor for Crisis TextLine and interning as a care coordinator for adolescent group homes. I have worked with various positions, with varying demographics and populations within this field. Through my experience, I have found that it is essential to tailor therapy to each client's needs to strive for the most out of this journey. I admire the bravery of being able to explore your options for therapy. I look forward to taking the first step in this journey with you and I am grateful to have the opportunity to be collaborating with you on the life you want to make for yourself.
