‘Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know’- Chodron, 1997

I have always had a strong passion to support others along their journey of life. As we know, this often comes with struggle along with beauty. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment for my clients to open up and process their deepest pain and personal experiences that impact who they grow to become. Our relationship with ourselves is the most important one we will ever have, and I emphasize the importance of self-worth, perceptions on oneself and others around them, and bringing understanding to unfortunate life events. I have confidence that every person is capable of overcoming whatever is thrown their way, and no one should ever have to feel like they have to do so alone. I use a tailored approach with each of my clients to best fit their circumstances with full hearted compassion and open mindedness. You are the narrator to your own story, and throughout therapy I aspire to hold your hand in navigating how to heal and unfold the rest of your story based on your own personal goals and needs.

About Me

I am a Licensed Master in Social Work. I earned my BA in Psychology and BS in Sociology at SUNY Oneonta, with a concentration in Human Services. I then went on to receive my Masters in Social Welfare at Stony Brook University and specialized in families, youth, and transition to adulthood. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients of different populations and settings throughout my experience as an overnight crisis counselor, sociotherapist for a casework team for children in foster care, a school social work intern, along with a counseling intern for the Victims Information Bureau working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I used an individualized, collaborative, and empowering approach to best fit my clients needs. I am thankful for each client that has given me the chance to be a part of their forward journey and I am looking forward to seeing what my future experience with incoming clients holds.
